    A friend left us.
      (published august 28, 2022)
Our friend Pierre Lambert left us, he was guest of honor in 2009 at Giverny.
We extend to his companion Monique, who was by his side throughout his artistic journey, our friendship, our support and our comfort in these very painful moments.
For those who knew Pierre, he was above all a warm and loyal man in friendship. With a full life, accomplished with serenity and punctuated with anecdotes that count in a career. Pierre never stopped thinking about painting, even if it took him away from his first passion, stained glass. From a profession as exciting as a master glassmaker, a pictorial adventure was to be built.
When we look at Pierre's painting, we can only admire the construction of his canvases, the volumes so well drawn, where nothing is left to chance, the harmonious colors.
No one will escape the Cubist influence of Georges Braque, who was a friend of Pierre and who was to mark his work. Also at ease with acrylic, watercolor and of course, pastel, he made us discover with great talent, a sweetness of life, an infinite diversity of places more magical than each other in a painting that never ceased to amaze us. A journey is essential which begins with the very particular art of stained glass and which leads us inexorably towards a resolutely modern painting.
